Frome Christmas Get-Together

The Frome Christmas Get-Together 2023 is returning for our 13th Christmas celebration!

 

For our 13th year of the community Christmas get together, we will be doing things a little differently!

The Frome Christmas Get-Together has provided community members both young and old with a chance to celebrate Christmas. With Christmas being a difficult time for so many, we have helped bring some festive cheer, needed company and great food to our town. 

There will be three smaller satellite in-person events to be run on Christmas Day. At these events we will be serving light refreshments focusing on the ‘getting together’ aspect of the project. Ready meals/ bags of festive and ordinary food will then be given out to people as they leave the event.

 

This means the event itself can focus on the community togetherness with games, conversations, carol singing and presents for all guests. This will also mean that volunteers will have a more active role (instead of serving food) they can be involved with guests. 

 

Home deliveries will still remain an option and guests will still have to register for the event.

We hope our Christmas Get-Together event this year will help make Christmas a special day for many. 

 

We all know that Christmas can be a hard time for some people both young and old, for a whole host of reasons. Like last year, this year will be especially difficult for many people. Our Christmas Day Get Together is a festive celebration and a great opportunity for both participants and volunteers to feel part of our community.This year, we are focussing on making our Christmas event a welcoming and inclusive space for our Frome community.

We will be providing a welcoming space with refreshments and entertainment for our guests from our local community on Christmas Day at  Trinity Church Hall, The Cricket Club and The Key Centre. We will include some festive entertainment and activities for families, individuals and volunteers to collectively take part in. This year, we are focussing on making our Christmas event a welcoming and inclusive space for our Frome community.
